Lyons Ranch Annual Superior Genetics Sale Sale Report - March 6, 2006 18th Annual Lyons Sale Bulls Averaged $3,810 Monday, March 6 was a beautiful, sunny day for the Lyons Ranch Superior Genetics sale. The many repeat customers and friends showed great appreciation to Jan and Frank Lyons and Family for their 18th annual offering of Angus cattle. The bulls were in demand from the very start of the auction. And when the final gavel fell, 98 bulls averaged $3810. Top selling bull was Lot l, Lyons Future Direction 4332. 2/3rds and full possession sold for $10,000 to Chippewa Valley Angus at Rittman, Ohio. Bob and Shirley Stuewe, Alma and 5 L Ranch at Chapman partnered on the Lot 4 bull, Lyons Future Direction 4334 for $6,000. Lot 41, Lyons New Design 5010 also sold for $6,000 to Marion Schuetz at Denton. Rolling Hills Ranch at Brookville selected sons of Bushwacker 41-93, lots 10 and 11 for $5,900 each . Volume bull buyers selecting 6 bulls each were Rolling Hills Ranch and Cottonwood Ranch, Cottonwood Falls. HW Cattle Company, Randolph selected the top selling heifer for $4,100, Lot 132, Lyons Pride 5005. Bell’s Angus at Irvington, Kentucky selected 3 heifers including Lot 120 for $3,000, Lyons Delia 5063. Chippewa Valley Angus, Rittman, Ohio selected 4 heifers including Lot 128 for $3,000, Lyons Delia Beauty 5011. The 32 open yearling heifers averaged $2,011. |
