Lyons Ranch Annual Superior Genetics Sale Sale Report - March 1, 2004 Registered and commercial cattlemen alike proved their faith in the Lyons Ranch program at the Superior Genetics Sale held Monday, March 1, at the ranch south of Manhattan, Kansas. The Lyons family: Jan and Frank and their daughters Debbie and husband Duane Blythe and Amy and her husband Karl Langvardt and their families, sold 156 total lots to another big crowd. It was the 16th sale of performance tested bulls and breeding heifers, held annually on the first Monday in March. “It’s great to see that our cattle are working for people and they believe in our program,” said Jan Lyons, ranch owner and current NCBA president. “With so many things going on in the industry, the bottom line is still dealing honestly with people and helping them to succeed in their goals.” The high selling bull, lot 7, Lyons RockN D 3134, a January son of RockN D Ambush 1531, sold for $5000 to Chippewa Valley Angus Farm, Rittman, Ohio.
